Sohvi Viik-Kalluste
Sohvi Viik-Kalluste (born 1991) is an Estonian artist who lives in Tallinn. Sohvi is working in the mediums like photography, video, sound and installation. Both abstraction and collage can be found in her photographs. In her work she focuses on the themes of memory, memories and the transience of time. She researches through personal photo material and old family albums to find different ways how photographic capture begins to change memory processes. How the photograph constructs our memories, or in some extent how image independently begins to affects our imagination.
Sohvi Viik-Kalluste graduated from the photography department of the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) in 2014 and her master's studies at the installation and sculpture department of the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) in 2016. Sohvi has completed her education at the Bergen Academy of Arts in Norway. In addition to several solo exhibitions, he has also participated in many group exhibitions.
